God’s Love vs Human Love

Human Love vs God’s love
Have you ever wondered why it is so easy for people to fall in and out of love The answer is based on the emotional condition of one’s thinking, you see human love is based an emotional response and that tends to lead to love that becomes conditional depending on the experience that is being felt at the time.
God’s love is however unconditional and does not depend on emotion, God’s love is always initiated it is never in response to and that is what makes it unconditional. God loved all his people even when they were in rebellion against Him Ephesians 1:4-5. Christ did not lay down his life for the righteous but for the unrighteous Romans 5:6-8.
It sometimes seems that God does not love us because of the situations we find ourselves in, this is untrue and the reason it is untrue is because God is Love not Hate John 4:8. He will allow us to do our own thing in order to discipline us as a father would discipline his children, Hebrews 12:6 “because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” God gave the ultimate sacrifice of His son so that the world could be rescued from the sin of Adam. 1st John 4:9-10 “In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
These are my thoughts for today as I ponder how much God loves this world even in the condition it is in today.

We Have a Choice

There are three things one can count on in this world. The first is that no matter where you live the government will find a way to tax you. The second is that everyone will face death eventually. The third is a choice that one can make, either to have eternal death or have eternal life. This is a choice that God has given man in free will. John 3:16 states that because God loved the world he gave His only begotten Son that man should not parish. In Romans 10:9 tells us that all we need to do is confess that Jesus is our Lord “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Many people will read this post today and some will scoff at it. This is a choice that one needs to make for themselves, but Satan would have one believe that the grave is the final destination of all. Most people go through life fearing death as a final and ultimate end to their life. This is not what God wants you to believe, that is why He sacrificed His only begotten Son. Jesus was crucified on the cross and three days later God raised Him from the grave, Jesus defeated death Acts 2:24 “But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.” and His victory at the cross gave us victory also that we would no longer be a captive of Satan and his deception that death is the final and ultimate destination of man. Today is truly the only day that God has promised to us, Let me ask you this one question: if you find yourself at deaths door would you prefer to burn in hell or have eternal life in heaven Scripture is clear that one will not just lie in the ground, there are only two outcomes Matt 25:46 ” “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” I urge you all to consider this before you turn into night, before you face a situation where this choice has been taken from you. Luke 16:28 tells of the rich man that did not believe in Jesus, he died and found himself looking across a dark void at Abraham, he pleaded with Abraham to release him so that he could warn his 5 brothers that God and Jesus were real, but Abraham plainly told him that his brothers had the prophets and Moses, moral once you are dead there is no changing your mind. If you have not accepted Jesus then you will find yourself with others, weeping, and gnashing their teeth.
Luke 13:28

Spring Time Renewal

As winter gives away to spring we feel a sense of renewal in the air, the bare lifelessness of the trees gives away to new green growth, flowers come forth, and there is a buzzing in the air as the sound of life missing in the winter is renewed. We start looking at the world in a new way, there is wonder in everything we see. We even start feeling physically better, we are uplifted by the newness of the world, but what of our spiritual soul? Does the spiritual soul need to be renewed? As we go along in our everyday life we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our lives our jobs and all the complications of the world, we get run down and start feeling hopeless like life is passing us by and we are on a fast moving train and no stops are coming: As Christians we have lost the path and forgot that God is there to help us through, we find we pray less and less until we are no longer praying and communication with God is all but stopped, We struggle with the things of the world, Our spirit is in trouble and we are no longer nurturing our spiritual needs, we may have even given up on going to church. We may even feel at times that God has given up on us. The truth is that God will never give up on us, but it is up to us to find a way to renew our spiritual walk with God. Renewing your walk with God may sound daunting but just start with a simple pray (Heavenly Father I have been absent from you for awhile, Please forgive me my sins while I have been away, help me to find the strength to reconnect with you and renew my spiritual walk so that I may better serve you.) God gave us Prayer as the only way to communicate with him , if you have walked astray take the first step back by just a simple prayer and then make prayer a part of your everyday life and soon you will find a renewed sense of spirit, The Holy Spirit will start working through you and you will not only start feeling physically better as you did when the Spring returned but your spiritual needs will start being filled. John 15:7 (If you abide in me and my words abide in you ask for whatever you wish and it will be done for you)(Psalms 40:1-3

1I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. 2He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. 3He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

You have heard that old sane (Stop and smell the roses) It simply means slow down and recognize the things in your life, Prayer is not a quick fix for problems that we should fix ourselves but it is a fix for our spiritual soul, A renewed spirit starts with a prayer.
